return to the motherland |

getting in touch with my inner colorado girl

About

{ Welcome! }

I’m glad you’re along for the adventure.  My name is Paula, and I’m what I like to call a technical Colorado native.  I lived in Colorado until I was ten when my family moved to Missouri.  After spending many years in Midwestern humidity and finishing college in Missouri I moved to Denver in 2010 for graduate school.  I have since finished graduate school and I’m now in Colorado for the long haul.  I guess you can take the girl out of Colorado but you can never take the Colorado out of the girl.  It’s return to the motherland for me!

Fun facts:

  • Some of my favorite Colorado girl activities include trail running, skiing, white water rafting, camping, climbing 14ers,  rock climbing and drinking craft beer (while doing the above activities).
  • I’m a little obsessed with The Bachelor/Bachelorette for inexplicable reasons. Who doesn’t love an excuse to drink wine on Monday nights?
  • I’m a retired collegiate cross country/track athlete. These days I prefer to hit the trails over the pavement.
  • One of my proudest accomplishments was finishing the Pikes Peak Marathon in 2013.
  • I have this theory that I gain an extra eight hours of play time every week since I’m not much of a cook.
  • I didn’t learn to ski until age 23. It’s never too late!
  • After college I interned in Honduras for three months and Atlanta for four months before figuring out that my heart was really in Colorado.
  • Waking up is hard. I like my snooze button a little too much sometimes.
  • I believe in taking advantage of where you live and finding outdoor adventures in your backyard. There is so much to explore.

Thanks for visiting!
